Who do I see?

Contact us online using the NHS App or KLINIK

The easiest way to contact the practice for an appointment, medical advice or an administrative request is online.

You can now submit KLINIK enquiries through the NHS App. We encourage patients to use the NHS App where possible, as it is secure, convenient and also allows you to manage other NHS services in one place.

NHS APP

To submit a request through the NHS App:

  1. Open the NHS App
  2. Go to Appointments
  3. Select Book an appointment
  4. Choose Ask about a health problem

You may also see an option to Request a letter or information for administrative requests, such as fit notes, test results, letters or other documents.

Your request will be reviewed by the practice team and you will be contacted with the most appropriate next step. This may be advice by text, a phone call, a face-to-face appointment, or signposting to another suitable service.

If you cannot use the NHS App, you can still submit a request using our KLINIK online form on this website.

If you are unable to use the NHS App or submit an online request, you can also call the practice. A member of our reception team will help you and can complete the request with you over the phone.

Routine and Urgent appointment requests

All routine and urgent appointment requests are reviewed through the same triage process. This helps us assess your request and direct you to the most appropriate member of the team.

Please submit your request through the NHS APP

You can also use the KLINIK online form

If you are unable to submit your request online, please call us on 020 8592 1771 and a member of our reception team will assist you.

Our team will review your enquiry and contact you with the next step. Depending on your needs, you may be offered a face-to-face appointment, telephone appointment, advice by text, or help from another suitable healthcare professional.

If you would prefer to see or speak to a particular clinician, please let us know when submitting your request. We will do our best to accommodate your preference where appropriate and subject to availability.

A GP surgery should be your first point of contact if you are concerned about your health, but you may not always need to see a GP. You may be seen by another trained professional, such as a practice nurse, community pharmacist, physiotherapist, advanced nurse practitioner or healthcare assistant.

For urgent medical help when the practice is closed, use NHS 111 online or call 111. In a life-threatening emergency, call 999.

Extended access

Planned care appointments with different clinicians such as advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses or health care assistants are available 7 days a week, including in the evenings, on weekends and on bank holidays. These appointments can be booked online or over the phone.

Appointments out of hours

If you need an urgent appointment, contact the practice during opening hours between Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm on 02085921771 or complete an online form.

When the practice is closed, please ring NHS 111 or use NHS 111 online and they can help you with booking an urgent GP appointment.

Routine and urgent appointments are provided in the evening and weekends at the following locations. You will be told which location you need to travel to when your appointment is booked:

  • Barking Hospital Hub – Upney Ln, Barking IG11 9LX
  • Becontree Hub – 641-645 Becontree Ave, RM8 3HP
  • Broad Street Hub – Morland Rd, Dagenham RM10 9HU
  • Parsloes Hub – 2 Hobart Rd, Dagenham RM9 5NH

You should only attend A&E if you need immediate care for something very serious or life-threatening. If your condition isn’t life-threatening, in many cases, you could be seen faster by using other local services in your community.

If you feel unwell or have a minor injury, your local pharmacy can also offer advice and some medicines. Many pharmacies are open late and at the weekends, and you do not need an appointment to be seen

Home visits

Home visits are strictly for patients who are medically housebound, and requests for visits should be made as early as possible. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

A community nurse may also visit you at home if your GP refers you.

A health visitor should also visit you at home if you have recently had a baby.
